Saeva & Loye (0.6.10)

Hey everyone!

February is the shortest month of the year, so I borrowed two more days to finish up the latest update, and it turned out to be a pretty big one! Slowly but surely, the Loye route is approaching its big finale...

New Team Member

This month's progress was only possible thanks to a new member joining the small Artificial Selection team. Namely, Wenmar will be helping me as a scenario assistant going forward. His support before, during, and after the writing process will make sure we can steadily publish sizeable updates like this one. Thank you!

(Thank you to all existing Insiders who made it possible for me to afford this in the first place. If you'd like to pitch in and help Artificial Selection progress even faster, anyone else's support on Ko-fi would also be much appreciated!)

Patch Notes

  • 9k new words. (220,000+ in total)
  • A brand new music track by Zaxcess!
  • 3 new chibi CGs for existing parts of the game!
  • A new team member joined the project: Wenmar!
  • Revamped the break room with 3D renders!
  • Dialogue text now fades in and looks a lot more elegant.
  • Made sure shadows and reflections don't interfere when "highlight objects" is turned on.
  • Expanded the computer screen with another variable.
  • Added more tracks to the music room.
  • The gallery now displays the completion rate of images seen.
  • Shown items will now wiggle.
  • Added fade transition to the debates when showing a new Sinner.
  • Fixed the "Hide textbox" feature for good and forever.
  • Improved colorblind accessibility for one of the arcade puzzles.
  • Made some text effects more stylish.
  • Improved gamepad controls in escape rooms.
  • Fixed the color of Kydan's tie in pixel art.
  • Fixed minor visual errors.
  • Fixed typos.

Oh right, and the break room looks like this now. Only 2 more escape room revamps until the Demo receives another update!

New DLC

Last but not least, I also released two DLCs for some of my other games this month:

Both of those took a ton of work by themselves, so I only properly got started on the Artificial Selection update around the middle of February. But despite only having around half the amount of  time as usual, this month's update wasn't neglected. A huge thank you to Wenmar again for his help. I'm optimistic that this is a great sign for entirely AS-centric update months to come!

With that out of the way, I'm gonna go sleep now.

Thank you for your support!
