A new Branch Opens! (0.7.1)


Hey everyone!

After the past two housekeeping update months, we once again finally got some brand new story content for the Beta!


This time, a whole new branch opened up, along with the introduction to the long-awaited Bar Escape Room featuring Maesol, Foris, and Canori.

Aside from that, this update also features a variety of fixes and improvements, which the Demo gets to benefit from as well! Some particular highlights:

  • Fixed a critical bug that prevented save files from being loaded!
  • Added support for 16:10 screen resolutions!

I pain-stakingly checked every part of the game to make sure everything scales correctly, but let me know if I missed something or broke something for 16:9 resolutions in the process!

Either way, here's the full list of changes:

  • A new branch opened up!
  • 6k new words. (250,000+ in total)*
  • 2 new CGs!*
  • Added support for 16:10 screen resolutions!
  • Re-enabled window resizing. Use at your own risk!
  • Save files now keep track of their own version and release.
  • Going forward, you will get a warning if you are about to load a save that's likely to be incompatible.
  • Content Warnings can now also be shown retroactively.
  • Added a heart icon to the Affection Tracker.
  • Made the Flowchart Filter properly consider nodes without any dialogue.*
  • Additional tweaks and improvements to the Flowchart Filter.*
  • Boosted the power of the "dirty jokes" content filter.
  • Removed character ending icons from Elevator Rush save files.
  • Added a snappier inventory animation.
  • Added separate counters for the completion rates of regular and chibi CGs.
  • Added Flowchart-related achievements.
  • Added special effects to a certain background.
  • Fixed a wrong node unlocking in the Flowchart in the Demo.
  • Fixed the smooth borders on the minimap for the second floor.
  • The history screen can now display different fonts and text alignments.
  • Minor UI improvements.
  • Updated an old graphic with the new map.
  • Fixed a possible crash in the electronics escape room.*
  • Fixed a bug in the Demo that made the game crash when loading saves or reaching bad endings.

What's Next?

So far, everything's been going exactly as planned, so August will bring the brand new Bar Escape Room to the Beta! I hope you're looking forward to it!
