Beta Update (0.5.2)


This month's beta update is a big one, so the patch notes got a little bit out of hand. To recap the most important changes, everyone (except Saeva) has a new face now, and the story finally got extended with the conclusion of Phase 3.

Regarding the demo, I also have an exciting announcement! 

The demo will be extended (or, more accurately, restored) to its original length, spanning all the way up to the second escape room. The feedback from the beta testers helped a tremendous amount, and the corresponding parts should now be polished enough for a wider audience. 

The demo update is coming out within the next few weeks!

Either way, the full patch notes for 0.5.2 are the following:

  • Extended the story with 7k+ words, and the first debate with serious consequences.
  • New faces and pixel art for Absen, Tiss, Ima, Reira, and Sed.
  • New face for Diven.
  • Added a nipple.
  • The custom cursor can now be disabled.
  • Updated one of the music tracks.
  • A new setting which controls if hovered escape room objects are highlighted.
  • Saeva is no longer purunoid.
  • Fixed a minor plot hole. Oops.
  • Slightly restructured the flowchart.
  • The flowchart now lets you know about missed bonding opportunities.
  • Colored text is now correctly used even if a character's name hasn't been learned yet.
  • Adjusted some of the character image colors.
  • When a DA breaks, its features are no longer usable.
  • Built the foundation for save file compatibility in the future.
  • Considerably lowered the music volume.
  • Notifications are no longer partly covered by other screens.
  • Fixed a bug where you could infinitely increase affection by getting a game over or jumping with the flowchart.
  • Fixed a bug in the profile menu where, under specific circumstances, everyone would be displayed as dead.
  • Dead people's profiles are now fully monochrome.
  • Removed a redundant line from the cell escape room.
  • Fixed a return button in the cell escape room.
  • Most free time conversations now increase characters' affection.
  • Multiple characters can increase their affection simultaneously.
  • Added an option to disable affection popups.
  • Added two more CGs to the gallery.
  • The clock has been added to the game menu.
  • Fixed the clock's relationship with game overs.
  • Every area of the game now takes the pixel art preference into account.
