So many fixes... (0.5.5)


Okay, okay, I know I said the next update would be a big one, but not this way.

This is, ironically, the biggest update so far simply in terms of the length of the patch notes, but there is no new content (aside from the new bedroom painting hints). Sorry about that, but at least the game is even more stable, now!

Basically, the fixes from 0.5.4 only scratched the surface. My beautiful testers had a field day breaking that version, which is why 0.5.5 had to be created.

Without further ado, the patch notes:

  • Saeva now knows his own girlfriend's name.*
  • Turned some of the musings during "Mysterious Morning" into NVL mode.
  • Added a hint and puzzle solver option to the bedroom paintings.
  • Previously chosen debate stances are now marked as such.
  • Debate stances now reflect the text outline and text window opacity settings.
  • Slightly shortened the Phase 3 debate.*
  • Revisiting a certain ending and then using the flowchart no longer crashes the game.*
  • The flowchart is now focused by default after an ending.*
  • The current node is more accurately tracked.*
  • Changed one of the flowchart node images.*
  • The CTC icon adjusts its position according to the text size.
  • The text size setting now also affects the line width of NVL text.
  • The text size setting no longer affects any UI text.
  • The "old pixel art" setting now works for the free time countdown.
  • The "old pixel art" setting now works for debate teams.*
  • The "old pixel art" setting now works in the break room escape.*
  • The quick menu is no longer shown when opening the menu in NVL mode.
  • Phase differences are now subtly indicated in the flowchart.*
  • Increased the clickable area of the exit/load/save confirm buttons.
  • Added underlines to hovered button text.
  • Limited the length of text input.
  • The screen flash effect no longer acts weird when loading save files.
  • The minimap no longer covers long notifications.
  • Restored some of the names' self-voicing, since the new engine update isn't out yet.
  • Adjusted the position marker for the bar area.*
  • The "Skip Room" buttons can no longer be used while the game menu is open.
  • Fixed tooltips reappearing sometimes.
  • Fixed a crash when using the puzzle solver in the cells.
  • Fixed a rare crash when changing the text settings early on in the game.
  • Fixed overflow of long save slot names.
  • Fixed some overlap issues on the status screen.
  • Fixed positioning of some heart popups.
  • Fixed instances of music not playing.
  • Fixed typos.
